MCA Chua Soi Lek may not be fielded as a candidate for Barisan Nasional in the next general election.
The indications are there and this is why he is getting desperate and easily agitated, resulting in his current “scolding spree”.
MCA insiders in the know pointed out that Chua was perturbed and frustrated by the appointment of MIC president Senator G. Palanivel as a Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department.
“It hurt his ego and pride. As president of BN’s second largest coalition party, he should have also been appointed,” said the party insider.
The insider said the Chinese community’s contiuous fall in support for the MCA and Chua’s immoral image had made him a liability to the BN.

Najib-Taib media scandal: The corruption of perception

Unknown | 4:10 AM | | | | Best Blogger Tips

The advertising critic Randall Rothenberg has suggested that there is something called a Media-Spindustrial Complex, which encompasses advertising, public relations, lobbying, polling, direct mail, investor relations, focus groups, jury consulting, speechwriting, radio and television stations, and newspapers - all of which are in the business of twisting and turning and gyrating the facts to suit a certain pre-designated goal.
Lies can now be told as truth and perceptions built around fantasy as long as you pretend to sell something else. This is the root of all manner of advertising and something that Malaysians have been sold onto for decades under the rule of Barisan Nasional.

Sexiest Filipina likes older men

Really, now. This supposed May-December affair is a bust. While drumbeaters are tripping all over themselves playing matchmakers to sexy star Sam Pinto and teen actor Alden Richards, the alleged "cougar" couldn't be more perplexed.
"It's flattering, but I'm not really that much older than Alden," Sam told us. "He's 19; I'm 21. Just because of my sexy image … people think I'm a cradle snatcher."
Truth to tell, Sam said she prefers "someone who's mature and will take care of me. Then again… Alden can very well surprise me!"
Taking his cue, Alden "surprised" Sam with dinner aboard a Manila Bay cruise ship, with the help of sweetdeals.com.ph and Barbara's restaurant on their first date last week.

Pakatan will take over in GE-13: "I feel it in my bones"

Unknown | 2:15 AM | | | | | Best Blogger Tips

In the wake of the Bersih 2.0 rally for free-and-fair elections and given the many blunders made by Prime Minister Najib Razak in handling recent issues plus the "messy" way in which the country was being run, expectations for the Pakatan Rakyat to take over the federal government is high, come the next general election.
However, some remain unconvinced by the forecast of prominent academic Wong Chin Huat, who expects Pakatan to win 100 seats, 18 more than in the last general election. In the last general election, Barisan Nasional grabbed 140 out of the total 222 seats avaliable, losing its two-third majority.
Wong believed that the July 9 Bersih 2.0 rally may help push Pakatan Rakyat's 2008 tally of 75 federal seats to a whopping 100 seats. That would mean 12 seats short for the PR.

Guessing game on Najib's gay associates after leaked US cable

Unknown | 2:08 AM | | | | | | Best Blogger Tips

The reactivated sodomy trial against Anwar Ibrahim, dubbed Sodomy II, was never a moral campaign by Prime Minister Najib Razak’s adminstration. It was purely a political and evil attempt at removing the thorn in UMNO’s flesh, and destroying the lynch pin for the political  Opposition in Malaysia, and once and for all and restoring UMNO’s hold on the country. This was clearly stated in the latest leaked US diplomatic cable.
The cable was unusual in that it detailed the observations and comments by the US Consulate in Malaysia. In what may be the most non-partisan observation on the case, the cable states the obvious - that the trial is a farce and engineered to put to death Anwar Ibrahim’s political career. In the various scenarios listed within the document, Anwar would be brought down - either as a politician or as a public figure.

Hot on 'secret' MAS-AirAsia deal comes reprieve for ex-Daim Boy, Tajudin Ramli

Unknown | 5:03 PM | | | | | | | Best Blogger Tips

Amid growing concern that Malaysian taxpayers have again been taken for a ride by the UMNO elite, Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim ticked off Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Nazri Aziz for allegedly instructing Government-Linked-Companies or GLCs to withdraw lawsuits filed against for MAS chairman Tajudin Ramli.

Among the affected GLCs wereTelekom Malaysia Bhd, Naluri Corporation, Celcom (M) Bhd, Atlan Holdings Bhd, Pengurusan Danaharta Bhd, Malaysia Airlines and Duta Skyline Bhd. These firms had sued Tajudin for losses suffered by MAS amounting to billions of ringgit, and there is concern that with a stroke of pen, Prime Minister Najib Razak's administration was bailing out fallen tycoon Tajudin.
"Such orders should have come from the Minister of Finance and not Nazri as this concerns GLCs. The government said it had a strong case against Tajudin involving billions of ringgit in filing the suit. It is a disturbing," Anwar, a former Finance minister, told reporters on Tuesday.

Britain’s riots – a reflection of social malaise

Unknown | 12:47 PM | | | | Best Blogger Tips

The children and teenagers involved in the violence represented a 'lost generation' faced with a life devoid of hope and aspiration, and 'written off by society'.
LONDON: As the pictures of burning and looting tarnish Britain’s image around the world, the mostly young rioters and social analysts agree on one thing: This was an event waiting to happen.
“I’ll keep doing this every day until I get caught. When I get home nothing is going to happen to me,” a teenager laden with looted goods told a BBC reporter in Manchester early yesterday.
“The prisons are overcrowded. So what are they going to do?” he added for good measure.
Children as young as 10 were seen carrying off looted goods in plastic bags from shops in the northern city, laughing and joking as they threw the items in the air with delight before disappearing down side streets and alleyways to escape the police.

‘Mystery’ shrouded deal to save AirAsia?

Unknown | 12:21 PM | | | | | Best Blogger Tips

Why is Khazanah giving away 20.5% in 'asset'-rich MAS, which has an extensive network and prized position in the Tier-5 airline market, for a stake in debt-ridden AirAsia?
The boss of Khazanah Nasional says that the MAS-AirAsia deal is, among other things, “not a bail-out” of MAS.
Well, we have questions for him.
Firstly, why was this deal worked out in the first place? Why AirAsia? Isn’t AirAsia operating at some 40 times its price earning (PE) ratio?
Looking at its numbers and the fundamentals, the high PE could mean that AirAsia stocks are overpriced.

Back to the wall, Najib tries to re-invent himself as the "best of the worst"

Unknown | 11:18 AM | | | | | | Best Blogger Tips

Malaysia’s emerging first world economy, despite the wishful thinking of Prime Minister Najib Razak, who doubles up as Finance minister, is no longer a factor that the ruling Barisan Nasional can constantly harp on at the hustings.
If the 58-year old Najib were to boast about the economy in purchasing power parity terms, the man on the street would fire back at how expensive life has become. And for Najib to argue would not only be a futile exercise, it would also be a dumb move.
Straightaway, it would set up the backs of the ordinary folk who feel the pulse of the economy from their ragged PVC wallets, and not the thick tomes of numbers that only make sense when compared with similarly sized and stressed nations.

Unsolicited and free insight on BN's options

These past three years since, BN has been fast sliding down the road of political survival. Hence today it is very evident that BN has gone on the defensive with the ‘opposition’ coalition party trenching into an offensive advantage.
Why?
The problem is the leaders and power brokers within the BN army have been operating from an out-dated mindset for far too long. They failed to grasp the revolution taking place within societies with Malaysia being no exception in this globalizing and networked society.

From risqué street-dancing to public pole-dancing, exotic dance forms have clearly taken hold of the Chinese public, particularly the female demographic.

Though it is not without its critics, especially among more traditional Chinese, its growing popularity indicates an increasing acceptance of female sexuality.

In a recent video posted on Youku (China’s version of Youtube), a female dance instructor is seen demonstrating some highly suggestive dance moves to an extremely attentive female student.

The video, uploaded late last July, has received nearly 2 million hits to date and has garnered over 2000 comments.
